GITHUB – Servo Control Source Code
I started designing the ALGUS armor all the way back in 1998. Crazy, huh? At that time, creating a suit of armor was pretty impractical without owning a home forge, and having access to a ton of expensive machinery. So, in my mind, ALGUS was little more than a mental exercise, and a way to further my ability to imagine and design armor according to my own principles and aesthetic values.
However, around 2011 I first heard of 3D printing, but at that time, the level of detail possible was fairly low. Really low, actually. Getting fine details, like I wanted to see, just wasn’t possible. These days, the level of detail you can produce is simply *INCREDIBLE*.
Thus, I decided it’s time to revisit the concept, and to make it a reality. Currently, the planned control mechanism is a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, powered by a small 16750mAh battery.
